Yellowstone is the mother of all national parks. We get that. There is no way to really see it in the two days we had. We fully intend to spend some time in the park. Now we know where we want to spend it. Old Faithful is great, don’t get me wrong, but it basically is super touristy and uses up a lot of your time. You have to see it, of course. Now we did and cannot wait to really disappear into the more remote areas of this park. We will need to plan way out in advance (not a strong point) to get a campsite inside the park. Hopefully it will be easier post-COVID (whenever that happens). Until then, the National Forest campgrounds outside the park are the place to be. Even though we only had a day, Yellowstone provided some of the most stunning photos we have ever taken.
