Seattle’s little brother is doing alright. The prices are lower. The crowds are less. The downtown is significantly more compact. But, the Puget Sound is still right there in front of you and the city is very accessible. We stayed just out of town to the south on McChord AFB and rode in, sometimes by car, sometimes by ebike. Another nice thing about Tacoma for us was the geography that made access to both Olympic and Mount Rainier National parks easily doable for an overnight trip.
