Get to the West 2018

After wrapping up some work in Pennsylvania while living with Betty in a mobile home park, we decided to take our first journey across the Appalachian mountains, the Mississippi river, and into the west. Initially we thought we were headed for Phoenix, Arizona. We ended up at her lesser known but ebike friendlier cousin, Tucson, Arizona. Along the was we found some fascinating off-the-beaten-path destinations, like the isolated artist colony of Marfa in west Texas’s vast Chihuahuan Desert. Or find out how to cross the mighty Mississippi river at night and watch Memphis city’s light show from the country’s longest active pedestrian/bike bridge, Big River Crossing.
