MD VA Getaways 2019

We got stir crazy at home waiting for the next trip. So, we took off for local destinations. Two hours south of us we found a town, Tangier Island, sinking in to the Chesapeake Bay where all of the 400 residents still speak a dialect of English from the 1800’s. Two hours to the west we found Maryland’s ‘Queen City,’ Cumberland. Once the gateway to the west and head of the busy C&O canal, it is now one of the poorest cities in America. Rich in culture and local pride, we fall in love with Cumberland by ebike.
